Account recovery¶

ViaductCDN supports both email-on-file and anonymous accounts. The recovery story differs.

Recovery codes¶

When you sign up, the portal shows recovery codes once. Save them.

Email-on-file accounts: codes plus the email-based password-reset flow are both available.
Anonymous (crypto-paying) accounts: codes are the only recovery channel. We have no email or phone number associated with the account, so there is no out-of-band way to verify you. Lose the codes and the account is unrecoverable.

Enable in the portal under Account → Security. Standard RFC 6238 TOTP — works with any authenticator app.

If your account is suspended (per abuse policy), prepaid BTC/XMR balance can be withdrawn to an address you control after a 30-day cooldown.
